As lead guitarist for the award winning band Decemberadio, Brian is one of the hottest new stars of Contemporary Christian Music. Brian’s style is pure rock n’ roll and his incredible technique belies his youth. Hailing from Christianburg, Virginia, Brian began his music at the age of nine by learning the basics of music on piano. Once he had that down he branched out and learned bass, drums, mandolin and harp. After seeing Josh [Reedy] play at a junior high talent show and seeing the response girls had to a guy with a guitar, Brian picked one up! Guitar really struck a chord with him and before long he was in a band with Josh, searching for a way to give back to God with his new found talent. The answer was forming a band with a mission known as DecembeRadio where you will find Brian playing lead guitar and vocals. Brian cites Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Marc Ford, Jimi Hendrix and Joe Bonamassa as key influences, but his own style is now well developed. He is a constant pursuer of good tone and it shows in his live playing and on his recordings. We are excited and blessed to have Brian on board as an instructor here at Virtual Woodshed. |
