Tommy Rodriguez #192 Telecaster® Replica

192-tele-front.jpg

If you’ve been to a big box guitar store lately in search of a great Tele style guitar, chances are you’ve left empty handed and somewhat disenchanted. Your search may now be over. Witness Rodriguez # 192, a Tele replica for Tele nuts. This spellbinding guitar was entirely hand crafted featuring a body of naturally dried Korina and a Maple neck. Tom combined vintage and contemporary features in this one to give it a unique voice all its own. The Korina body imparts a darker tone than the standard Ash Tele, but the Fralin pickups teamed up with the Maple neck provide the classic Tele twang we’ve all come to know and love. The ultra thin Tobacco-burst lacquer finish provides plenty of room for the guitar to breathe and you can feel the resonance in this one, even when playing completely unplugged. Tom thought a 10” fingerboard radius was appropriate on this one to make stringbending a breeze. Check out what the builder himself had to say about his own creation in the video below. Whatever your style - Rock, Country, Jazz, Blues - just plug it in and let the guitar do the talking for you. F****r can’t build this guitar today because they would have to sell it for $10,000!! If you’re looking for that vintage Tele vibe without the hassles and quirkiness of a 40 year old guitar, look no further.
